Engines Can Go Home Again

Is Volkswagen mulling a return to the classic rear-mounted engine? According to a recent VW press release, the company's "City Expert" prototype may feature an engine in the trunk. Ahh, a return to sanity!

This is a pretty tricked-up bug. Check out the flared sides. Kind of gives this one a classic Willie Mays Hayes look.

I always love checking out heavy custom jobs and thought this one was particularly cool. The custom hood really makes this design look as though this was a truck that would have been an excellent fit with other trucks of its era.
